The American Libya Trade Mission Association (ALTMA) was founded in 2005 following the United States government lifting sanctions against Libya.
The mission of our organization is to promote trade and investment between the United States and Libya.

Libya is an emerging market. After years of embargoes and sanctions, the Libyans are rapidly expanding their economy. With high oil prices, the government of Libya is in a position to expand it's development at a rapid pace.
Libya is hungry for American goods and services. There are opportunities for all areas of trade and investment.

ALTMA has contacts in all areas of the Libyan government. All bids, RFQs, joint venture opportunities, investments,
 are available to our office.

ALTMA led a delegation of Americans to Libya in July, 2008. This delegation met with the Leader of Libya, Muammar Ghaddafi. ALTMA will work with Libya, the National Conference of Black Mayors and their Special Envoy,
Hemali Ghaddafi, to host a Summit between Africa and the United States in 2009.
